here's my collection of free software, some of which i use on a day-to-day basis.

chat/messaging

discord (multi-platform, premium version available)

a gaming-centric instant-messaging client. it's got quite a bit of features.

msn/windows live messenger (windows only, source code available)

an old IM client created by microsoft back in the early days of MSN, a service created by said company. the original servers are long since dead (2014), however somebody has made a custom server for it (and older versions)

creativity

blender (multi-platform, source code available)

a "multi-purpose" 3D modeling program. it's what used for pretty much the entirety of the 3D models you see on the site.
